I’m Jessica, a 22-year old student at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario.  I work part time as a Student Ambassador for Humber College.  I’m studying Creative Advertising – so I have avid interests in design, typography, and advertising.   Music is next up on the list, and music consumes much of my time between shows, seeking new music, and various podcasts.   I am fairly liberal, very scientific, and a dedicated atheist.  I do not drive a car and probably never will – I ride my bicycle, and the rocket.

Most importantly, however, I am busy.  Between school, work, commuting and a social life, I barely have time to eat – let alone cook.   That is the reason this blog exists – I’m passionate about cooking and eating well, but finding the time and motivation can do it can be challenging.   However, as a student I don’t have the budget to eat out all the time, so I am focusing on things that can be made ahead and transport well.   For Christmas 2009, I’m making cookbooks for my friends and family – a lot of the important recipes (and extra information that doesn’t make it in the book) will end up on my blog instead.
